tried in safe mode no joy, pages take about 5 mins to load, this will take about 15 min to type this, norton and spy doctor can find anything wrong could windows be damaged

Try on IE, TOOLS, and find the Add-On manager, and disable the lot to start with.

Enable each add-on one by one, although things link Google, flash, java, etc can go back on in bulk. Then close, and load up IE again each time you add one till you find out which is the bad one.

For those who don't know, you can get a cut down working version of Spy Doctor in the Google Pack, along with AV, and other bits. It is enough to clean up some of the crap on your system. It'll give you a taster so you know what it does, before you invest in the full version with more gizmos.

bought new laptop
hi guys need a littel help.
bought a new laptop and wanted to clear my pc for the kids its pretty old but was running perfect up till 2 weeks ago.
it takes about 11 minutes to start up now and it just ont let me do anything even if i click on the start menu it takes about 4 minutes to register i just want to clear everthing off it and have it for the kids
