At $1 a pt win & place this thread returns $28.30 for $17 for all suggestions so far, with a 70% sr & 61% ROI
That's an excellent ROI to date Andy

Bit of a lucky accident really (such is life sometimes).

Just for reference there is an updated complete list on Post #30, which should provide a fair guide to Lingfield's Winter Derby & maybe the Nad Al Sheba equivilent. Hopefully, this little lot will keep us ticking over until the start of the Flat season proper & I've no doubt that a few of them will have no trouble in transferring their ability to the turf.

There's nothing happening on the AW this weekend, so I thought I'd do a bit of an update so I can concentrate more on the Jumps, it is March after all!

I hate this time of year, donkey season until Chelters: Of all the horses listed above, the only one running today is the one that I’m debating as to whether she is worth inclusion at all. Could use today’s race as a test, she is now fitted with blinkers first time.

South 3.10 Zaville, 8/1 fc with 1 tip. Boasts highest TS & RPR, 2 from 5 at Wolves but stone last on her only try here, if she is no better than 3rd or 4th today, I’m scratching her from the list. Seriously NO BET advised.

If nobody minds I am going to change that stake plan to the same as I'm operating in other threads (So Clear & pLAYtime), so the situation @ $5 a pt now reads.

    Starting Bank - $100
    17 bets @ $5 = $85
    12 returns = $141.5
Bank Now = $156.5 & 5% of that is about $7.50 = the next Stake.

Equalled her previous best & ran the time of the meet, again, whilst romping home, so

    Starting Bank - $100
    17 bets @ $5 = $85
    1 bet @ $7.50 = $7.50
    14 returns = $151.70
Bank Now = $159.20 & 5% of that is about $7.50 = the next Stake.

Nothing going today but tomorrow looks more promising......

You really think I choose to put a $? :D By pressing shift & No.3, I get #, since I put Windows XP on the machine I seem to have lost my pound symbol & haven't worked out how to change it, yet. The control panel/keyboard feature don't seem to do what it used to since XP came along. & as for the Euro, well

Try Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options. I reckon you've got a US keyboard set up so change it through the Regional and Language Options menu. Anything to stop you using bloody $

You're quite safe there actually, BC, like I was telling the Iranian down the chip shop about a year ago, 'the Dollars going down!' & for anyone that wants to argue, my replies are already written but I doubt I'll find the time to even try as Mathare has suggested above, at least until after next week....Anyway, horses, horses, that's why I'm here

    Wolves

    2.20

    PARTY BOSS $5 WIN
    WOODNOOK $2.50 WIN

    4.35

    QADAR (NO BET)
    MAGIC GLADE $7.50 WIN

    5.40

    BILLICH $7.50 WIN

After much deliberation I have decided to split the stake in the 2.20 - I just don't think she is without a chance. Now I have to decide whether to oppose one of Keith's bets & suggest High Chimes as a LAY for the 3.35 @ Chepstow, decisions, decisions:splapme

Had a feeling yesterday wasn't going to go too well & that may herald the beginning of the end for this thread. Lost a few dollar but I got a £ back. Thanks again Mathare.

Before I go & get the Weekender, featuring a Dubai World Cup Special, what are the odds I wonder, that we get told by a certain timekeeper, to be taking this filly to beat the colts in the Derby? She's been taken in by the Godolphin operation since her last run.

OOPS! Wrong again, he's going for Eu Tambem(Brz)!

    DUBAI WORLD CUP

    NAD AL SHEBA

    6.30

    FORTY LICKS(ARG), 25/1
    KANDIDATE, 33/1

INVASOR(ARG), 6/4, If anyone’s going to know what it takes to beat this one, it’s my old mucker!

    3.15 – UAE DERBY

It could be pretty easy to foretell what will happen here: ASIATIC BOY(ARG) & FOLK(USA), (though the Godolphin crew seem quite bullish about this filly), will go off too fast for their own good & basically set the race up for a real stayer in the likes of EU TAMBEM(BRZ). The short priced Asiatic Boy looks LAY material or you could just dutch the Godolphin pair, who are both around 5/s.

    4.55 – SHEEMA CLASSIC

    POP ROCK, 6/s, Nap

    5.40 – DUBAI DUTY FREE

    Three against the field:

    MYSTICAL(IND), 33/1
    POMPEII RULER(AUS), 14/s
    DAIWA MAJOR(JPN), 6/s

Oh yeh! & the master list has got another runner in the last at Kempton:

5.50 - NIGHT CRUISE, a very progressive profile & broke Lingfield's 2m course record last time. The stable had the first juvenile winner of the season on Thursday.

A word of WARNING for anyone thinking of backing Gentleman's Deal in this afternoon's Lincoln. He has lost all 6 times he has ran on grass. OK favourites in h'caps at Newcastle may have a 25% SR with a smalll LSP but he is also the RPR horse, these are LAY material at Newcastle.

One thing profitable to follow at Newcastle is the RP's Postdata selection. They're going for Tanzanite & the trainer is hot at present.

Think I had a bad day? Almost as bad as Godolphin – whose acquisition of your horse can improve the performance by minus 2 stone – some training feat that, & with all the Sheikh’s money! Almost as good as Newsboy, Bouverie, Topspeed, RPR’s, the RP’s Postdata & the Favourite @ Kempton yesterday – not a winner between them! The mad thing is, the spreadsheet I’ve been working on of late predicted as much. For today’s predictions, check out my new thread – WAR ‘tis then – on the Diary channel.

Thought I had heard the name before but now a 7yo with Ian Williams, who is not exactly banging them in but while this one has been placed 4 of his five starts & has twice ran well 'fresh & is running from a rating 5lb lower than when he broke that Crse Rec which he still holds - could be interesting to see how he gets on in the last at Pontefract today.

Teenager fighting for life after alleged assault
    10:14am Monday 2nd January 2012 in News

By Jane Reader and Katie Clark

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy is fighting for his life after an alleged assault at an arcade in Swanage in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

The teenager suffered a serious head injury and is now being treated in the specialist neurological unit at Southampton Hospital.

Police were alerted by ambulance crews who had been called to the arcade, near the Mowlem Theatre in Shore Road, at 1.15am.

The victim of the alleged assault was taken to Poole Hospital first but was transferred when the extent of his injuries became known.

Right! He's back - or at least, he's off the life-support & moving....

Fingers crossed we're on a steady path to recovery & God help them nurses if he finds a deck of cards or a pool table

SEctional Timing is slowly getting here:

    Me likes this:

    Sectional Times OTF

    http://betting.betfair.com/horse-rac...imon-rowlands/

2013 proved to be a profitable one for followers of the Sectional Debrief lists, with 48 of the 125 selections being successful for a profit of 47.68 at Betfair SP before commission (risking 1 pt, whether back or lay), which equates to a return on investment of +38.1%.

Some of the horses on the list have not been seen for a while, so a clear out is in order. The lists now read as follows:

    To Follow: Naabegha
    To Oppose: Parisian Pyramid
To Follow: Cincuenta Pasos, Desert Wings, Djinni, Janoub Nibras, Killing Time, Mr Greenspan, Pelerin, Picture Dealer, Pretend, Queen of Skies, Rapid Advance, Top Tug, Waveguide, Western Hymn

To Oppose: Forever Cinderella, Kind Invitation, New Colours, Secret Archive

[I'll try n keep this updated?-
