Sure if you keep doing what your doing now, no need to worry about the flat...on the contrary....

The radical of one century is the conservative of the next. The radical invents the views. When he has worn them out the conservative adopts them.

Cheers Lads. Tommy Carson epitomised what I am trying to do here. I think the handicapper called it wrong, and Tommy Carson was (in my opinion) carrying too little weight for his ability. With the extended run in, stamina was needed, and too much weight would get in the way. Tommy Carson had that extra bit in the end, as he was lighter. Tallow Bay was second, and It's my party was 3rd, all of which were down in the weights.

Thanks guys. Yesterday was a difficult enough day with a loss of around £800. Thankfully, today's Irish racing at Downpatrick proved fruitful (including the Ulster grand national) and most of the losses have been recovered now.

I wish I had started this in the £1000 challenge section as it's the closest I've gotten to 5k to date!!

I'd venture that this is another horse that epitomises this excellent system Wayne. Won this race last year and has suffered very little in the weight department since...

Cleared the last by about a foot and had plenty of horse left at the end - could've went round again!

Correct Greenhorn, this was exactly the type of race that I'm trying to exploit.

If you have a look at the card, News Item was 11th out of 15 in the weights carrying 10st 12lbs, with the topweight carrying a hefty 11-7. He was pulled up/fell a couple of times over the past year or so, but he proved last year that this race is exactly up his alley, and I was amazed when the weight was revealed to see him so light, especially since he won it last year. It's a good job for connections that I'm not the handicapper because I think he should have carried way more!

Thanks Vic. I consider myself a Flat man, so I'm very pleased with this indeed. Normally, I find it much easier to make a few €€€ when the flat starts. I think it's the first time that I've managed to turn a decent profit on NH.
