    The whole thing was bad.
I am so glad I didn't go there was just no atmosphere, I think people were there just to say they were there rather than being music fans.
There were plenty singing along to Metallica though.

    Live Earth

Anybody watch this concert? Actually thought Madonna did really well, was a great live act and got the crowd bouncin'!

Also, is there any truth in the rumour that one (or more?) of the pussycat dolls is a man???

    Hi Andy
we have been talking about it in the Deep Purple thread.

Not sure about the pussycat dolls rumour.

I thought it was very poor crowd wise, they didn't have a clue.
I missed out on the ballot, but then got the chance to go and I'm glad I didn't there's no point in bouncing up and down by yourself.

If it helps people do something as simple as recycling though it was all worth it.
The only reason for not recycling is because people can not be bothered, it's not difficult.

Also, does anyone know f there is any truth in the rumour that the arctic monkeys were asked to perform today, but declined sayin that all the use of the equipment at todays events would use up excessive energy?

Not sure about that Andy, but does that mean the Arctics will not tour anymore , cos the energy they use is massive?
They have tried to be carbon neutral at live earth as much as they can be.
I will get the two threads merged.

They were Pez. I only switched on three-quarters of the way through Sabotage which was their last song and so couldn't really comment on their performance.

I caught The Foo Fighters who I thought were great, The Pussycat Dolls (who nearly turned Graham Norton!:)) and Madonna who I thought performed really well.

Can't really comment on the atmosphere either as the last festival I went to was V97 and I have forgotten what you are supposed to do! :)

Champions League, we're 'aving a laugh, Champions League, we're 'aving a laugh!
