Like John - I missed this thread somehow. Just read it right through.
I'm not really sure why you were on the dole and they made you go to work. You weren't far off being able to play poker for a living. It was only a tiny step up from where you were.
I've never understood the attraction of bestiality but looking back over my life it does appear as though I married a cow, lived with a moose, been out with at least 5 dogs and spent a lot of time being chased by whales.

due to me being unemployed "again",i'll start my daily account from next week.an absolute fish day yesterday with me getting beaten by that
ace all in to big pp 7 or 8 times.i got a bit of my $200 back late last night and this morning, but ive got to get back into the mentality that i had when i was jobless last time.
fingers crossed

not a good day really to start my life on the dole again.
had a lot of bad beats, the worste being my ace 5 against his kk when the flop comes up 55j.he gives me a cheap look and then moves all in on the flop, and what happens, spade, spade to give him a flush
how lucky is that.
i must have had the best hand 90% of the time yesterday at the time of shoving, only to get outdrawn.
so first day i lost $10 which is not too bad but other days it could had been up $200

day 2 on the dole;
another fish day
i just cant believe getting beaten with the best hand for most of the day against bad odds for the monkeys.
for example my kk vs a2 spades. blinds are 25/50 he raises to 100 i raise to 200,he calls. a rainbow hits with no big cards he raises big at me,so i push.he calls to no surprise(fish) spade spade.
another example when the blinds are 50/100.i catch 2 2s with a nothing hand but 2 clubs are on the flop.i bet 200 he calls knowing hes chasing a flush,so i push giving him an even money bet when he is a 3/1 shot, and surprise surprise jack of clubs
.
so day 2 $13 profit from 7 hours play.
bloody brilliant

Keep it up EP - one day all these plays will flip on their head and you'll end up on the right side of them all and make a killing.
It's about making the right decision not necessarily getting the right result

Exactly. Something I learned WAY too late, that. If you play your hands well, and make correct moves, it doesn't really matter what happens. You know you did the right thing.
Keep it up EP - watching with a lot of interest as I'm currently "in-limbo" poker-wise at the moment... good luck fella you can beat 'em, you've proven that already. :)

day 3 on the dole.
this was a game of 2, 4 hour sessions, or should i say a game of 2 halves.
the first session everything held up and won about $110. but in the second session my first game was a 10 man $30 sng.on the very first hand i was in early position with kk and decided that i would raise 200 and then push if no ace come out.so i gets one call of 200 and the flop comes out,4jq(rainbow),playing first i pushes and my caller has jj,so thats the end of that one.
then i play a few hours of $20 triple ups, losing more than i was winning, including getting aces busted, but the final staw was this,a 10 man $20 sng.i manages to make the final 3 so im guarenteed $40,the blinds are 300/600 so we are at the push or fold stage.what happens next only beggars belief.the guy is playing first and don’t raise so i see a full house on the flop.he then pushes and i get a warm feeling inside, thinking ace 6 or king anything.
anyway you just got to call that.
see the outcome below

so i'm not too happy this morning

a good day yesterday, when most big hands held up.
you just got to laugh sometimes.if you type something into the chatboard about how bad someone just played, you can guarentee that that person will raise you every time that you are big blind.they just want to punish you for any disrespect that you've shown, only to their own expense in the end.
so the end of the day i won $113

first week on the dole,i won $220.not brill but profit.
sunday i lost $120 with cold decks all day.every time when i had good hands and i needed to double up,the fish would call my all in pushes only to catch that
ace all the time. so a bad start to week 2

didnt play much yesterday, but it was a mixed bag.i got outdone by a lot of chancers but i still won $70.
not too happy last night though,i had a $10 & $20 sitngo running at the same time, and my isp went down for half an hour. by the time i got back on the tables the blinds were 100/200, and i got 800 left.at the same time i had ak and aq and moved all in on both tables only to get taken out by fish sharks with excellent 10j and k8
.
dont think i'll be playing much today as my step daugther is getting engaged tonight, and muggins and his missus has got to cook all the food

only 3 sit n gos today.out on the first hand in the first game with pocket 8s to an over agressive idiot with 66.flop comes out 478 by the time the turn come out i was 2 thirds of my stack comitted so i push and woow be tide a 5 on the river.i put him on a bigger pair or ak,so the shark done me good(well played).
then i played a $10 and a $20 sitngo,i won the $20 and came 3rd in the $10,so on the day i outlaid $55 and got back $120.
all in all a chips day

not too bad of a day, only winning $50 though.
i think now that i must go back to playing $20 triple ups.these 10 man sng's just take too long and today again im bubble boy on a lot of games, to fish who will bet anything and hope to hit and get you out.
$88 is not too bad a start for the week but when i was doing this 2 years ago i was making $3-400 average a week.
so i got to play in my comfort zone to what i know best, and that is 3 man tables.

big tilt day yesterday, where the poker gods and the fish made a mockery of "odds".one game i was 88.6% on the turn where i had straight with 3 hearts on the straight(the board read10h,qh,as,jh) ,i got qc kh,going for a "royal".the shark decided to push with his ace queen with 2 pairs, not believing that i hit my straight, and surprise surprise, another ace (not the one for a royal)on the river
.
so down what i won sunday and monday.
back to square 1
