been a pretty good week this week so far
+$30 monday
+$30 tuesday
+$70 wednesday
havnt really played loads of games either,just sticking to $10 triple ups on 888 and $10 six man tables on full tilt and betfair.i'm still not as confident as what i was 3 years ago(i thought i was unbeatable at times then)but i am getting there.the only problem is,on 888 the traffic has died right down these days and that is where i am at my strongest,but i notice that they are advertising their site on sky sports lately so maybe it will pick back up a little.but all in all i am feeling quite confident again and thats the main thing

since the last post ive won around $100.
just had a nasty one on full tilt when there were 10s,jacks,kings,and aces out in the same hand,needless to say my jacks got bombed

is that 72% roi, because if you are doing that its mightily impressive.
ive probable had a 100% roi in the last week playing 3 man tables but overall in the 7000 odd games ive played ive only got a 9% roi.
at the start of this thread i was averaging 20% in 2007 and earning 3-4 hundred $'s a week.
but since then i have been out of my comfort zone playing 10 man tables in which i am not too good at and it has dropped to 9%.
but now i am on the straight and narrow playing triple up sit n gos

not a very good monday or tuesday,it was a case of losing all of the time to their rag kicker when i was 70% but a good start for wednesday played 2 and won 2.
the attached pic is of my aces winning (only on the river) but we were all in preflopaces.PNG

not as good a week as the last winning 20-40 dollars.the only thing that has beaten me is luck overall.when the chips go in its always the weak kicker that wins because they pushed with the "big" ace.
no point in grumbling they just say "thats poker"

I have to say EP, you've got me playing again. I've been reading this after a break from the tables and I have decided to return. I've even gone one step further and picked a variant of the game to really try and make a decent stab at - limit hold'em. It's the game I first fell in love with so I am trying to re-ignite my skills at that form of the game.

good luck matt.i too have gone back to my strengths and playing what i know best(3 man tables).ive spent the last 2 years playing 10 man tables only just breaking even.its just too hard trying to make profits on these big tables

not a bad week at all.i broke even up until wednesday but since then my balance has gone up $130 which is not bad at all.

ive had a poor week this week,nothing at all going to form,and the outcome to all of this is a loss of $60.so hopefully when i give out my results next week the big hands will show a profit

since the last post ive hit a hot streak,still on the $10 triple ups,calling most raises with any 2.you got to play like a fish on these tables and when it hits big,BANG!!!!!.

a poor end to the week losing $110,and you can guarentee i had the best hands on at least 80% of pushes only to get outdrawn time after time.
i hope to get back to winning ways this week.i'm setting myself a target of $100 per week,i could manage that easily a few years ago.we'll see.

another poor week,at a cost of another $100.the number of times that i've been beaten on the river only beggars believe.
ive been up against idiots all week when ive been in front on the turn when one of thier "3 outs" would hit on the river,its just so bloody frustrating at the moment when no 2 cards are safe.
surely i cant have a third losing week..............

this run than i am on now is the worste run since ive started playing this game.its got to the point now where i am losing almost all pushes,and when that is happening game after game i just feel like pulling the cord and saying enough is enough.
it was only a few weeks ago that my posts were very upbeat and feeling very good with my game.my online balance with 888 was $1100 and thought it would get to $1500-$2000 by christmas,but since this horrendous run it had dropped to $300.
i am at a loose end at the moment and dont know when this is going to end,very soon i hope as i dont really want to deposit money into the site,(i cant remember the last time i did that).
the thing is i havnt changed anything about my game its just sheer luck that is beating me and nothing else,i just wish it would change

there is a god after all,just sticking to my own game that i have played since i started playing,i'm happy to report that i have won $100 in the last 5 hours of playing.its just sometimes to beat a fish you got to be one yourself.
but i still got to claw back another $700 to get back up to the high that i achieved a month ago.
there is no way that i can do that by xmas but i will get there eventually

what has 2010 given me on the poker table?
well i'll tell you.
2010 has been an absolute nightmare,i have had a week or so of bad beats in the past,but the run that i am on now only beggars belief!!!!
time after time i'm getting done by 15-20% shots,and that is not good for your confidence let me tell you.
this is probably the first year since i,ve taken it up that i have lost,not much, but when i usually bank a few $k a year this is a real sickener.
happy new year to all that have been following this thread and i hope the next year can show a nice profit

its not been a very good start to the year,i've probably been about even,but things this week have been going pretty good on full tilt,winning over $200 in the last 3 days.the tables i am currently playing are $10, 9 man and 6 man sit n gos.
maybe the old spark has reignited, i hope so,only time will tell

after the good week of last winning around $200,i've only managed to break even this week.another week of the same old story when your aces and kings are getting beaten by hands that should not really be in the pot,but without these fish callers the better players wouldnt make long term profits.
so its "chin up" and hopefully next week i'll be reporting a bit of profit from the game i love and hate

another week of frustration where monkeys are putting their chips all in and hitting the absolute nuts
the hand of the week for me only beggars belief!!!!! i was holding aces and the flop comes down ace 8 6 rainbow and my russian shark was holding 24 off suit.i'm playing first,so i puts in a teasing bet and whollop!!! he comes over the top and shoots all of his chips in,which means i'm all in,so obviously i got to get him out
the turn is a 5 and the river is a 3 and i'm out on the bubble again.
but its nonsense like that thats happened all week at a cost of $200.
the main trouble with me at the moment is playing late nights on the weekend with alcohol,its just not working out,so i think that has got to stop for the better

just about breaking even in the last 2 weeks but i have to admit it,"its all my own fault".
after not really knowing what was going on with the american sites,i quickly cashed out of full tilt and joined up with william hill.wrong decision!!!,i got involved with roulette and blackjack at the same time at a cost of £60.
then when i understood what was happening with the full tilt site i withdrew the rest of my balance from william hill and put it back into full tilt.and in the last week there i've won $100(£60).
i've never played blackjack before on line,and to be honest i didnt do too bad at it,but maybe with abit of education before i played i may have won a bit more than i did,but the roulette just took me apart when i was upping my stakes after a loser betting in blocks of 12.but thats gambling for you,nothing is easy,not even if you have an edge

I always thought that it was not possible to have an edge in roulette and that the house always won long term.

yeah bm i agree with you about roulette,i was just saying that nothing is easy in any form of gambling,even horse racing,football ,poker etc.
a lot of comes down to one thing and that is luck

its been going great in the last 2 weeks on full tilt,its probably the best 2 weeks since joining.
after the scare i put in $75,and to my surprise they have allowed me to earn a $50 bonus(roughly every $70 in sit n gos you earn $5).so far i've earned $25 and the balance is up to $420.
its just playing sensible poker,and you can be sure that you will have some crazy italians and russians on the table.
i dont know what they are showing them on tv over there but they are just "off their head".
i just hope that i can keep it up
