Should the Union Flag be updated to include Wales?
It has been put forward that the Union Jack needs updating to include some refelction of Wales!
Apparently the reason for their omission is that Wales was annexed by England so that when the Union flag was put together, they were incorporated under the Englisg St George flag...
So the union flag with a dragon across the middle?
Some have argued for a less imposing feature such as a small yellow cross as the Symbol of St David.
If you had the choice to incorporate a feature of Wales, what would it be?

Make the Union Jack the Welsh Flag :D
It's supposed to be a 'union' so should involve all flags. Either that or just have a white flag!

No way. The Welsh are obsolete and the embarassing branch of the Celtic family. Unlike their Irish and Scottish relations, they failed miserably to repel either the Romans, Saxons and English.

Let all the countries in the union use their own flags and design a union flag distinct from all the others for international use.

As a proud Welsh person I say nay - we don't wanna be part of your effing flag - ever seen a Welsh person sing that stupid bloody national anthem. No chance. I remember when Colin Jackson won his World Chamionship Gold and thay hoisted that flag and played that anthem - he blushed, which is pretty
hard when you're black.
I say keep your flag and keep your anthem - we have got the coolest flag around and we sing our anthem in an ancient, useless language that none of you lot understand. For all you know the Welsh anthem might be
all the English, they smell of poo
all the Scottish, they do too
all the Irish, they are thick
everybody, you make us sick
:wink

I've never understood the attraction of bestiality but looking back over my life it does appear as though I married a cow, lived with a moose, been out with at least 5 dogs and spent a lot of time being chased by whales.

They could start by removing the St Patrick flag (Ireland) which is a red X on a white background.
Of course, there will be those calling for the inclusion of Northern Ireland, but The 'Ulster banner' flag of Northern Ireland has a red cross, similar to Georges, so they won't feel left out and that should keep the Unionists happy. It would look something like the old version:

A Welshman goes into a souvenir shop. "I'd like to buy a Union Jack, boyo" he says, "but it must be a green one."
"There aren't any green ones" replies the shop assistant. "They're red, white and blue."
"Okay, in that case I'll take a blue one."

If they want to incorprate something Welsh into the Union Jack, it should be something that has made a major contribution to spreading a bit of Welshness all around the globe.... Tom Jones
maybe?

Dunno about whales but it should include:

but if he be content to begin with doubts, he shall end in certainties.
