Americans are generally rather religious... and of course you have no chance of becoming president of the USA without making it clear that you're a god-fearing sort... go figure

My keyboard's running out of ink....
The only way a God can exist is if he/she/it is a quantum fluctuation in multiple states. But if that was the case, then everything we know would just be a random event flickering in infinity.

I knew there was an explanation for Vegy's existence :D

I love how the article starts off by using scientists as the intelligentsia which really nullifies the argument IMO. It then goes on to say that children generally believe in God "but as they grow older and their intelligence increases..." - hold on a minute!! This is another misconception - surely they mean as children are taught (or learn), they are influenced by the aforementioned intelligentsia. A child's intelligence does not in fact increase, merely their capacity for learning.
I couldn't be bothered reading the rest of the article - it defeated itself in the first few sentences.
Do I believe in God? I am not religious but I think there is more (circumstantial) evidence for the existence of God than against.
A lot of scientists don't see any incompatibility between their science and sharing a belief:

.
Apart from the creationist nutter scientists in the USA :splapme, the rest of the worlds scientist have no problem with individual beliefs in the scientific community.
