    Web data extraction tools

    Hi

    anyone know of any web data extraction tools? or know how to extract data into excel from certain websites.

    It's complicated, and depends on the code the site is written in, and these days is usually a few mixed in ( new RP site!!).

    If you can learn PHP or VB you could parse & extract the data you wamt, otherwise you can use software like Web Content Extractor but it is complicated to use. Much quicker writing your own code as some of us on here do, or pay a freelancer.

    Ahhh much appreciated, i best find myself a freelancer then :-)

    Regards to Rpost, was it possible to extract data from the co.uk website? and is it going to be very hard to extract data from the new .com website?

    I have noticed that the new .com website does not have all the data as the old co.uk, anybody know if this will change? i Have emailed them repeatedly about it but have yet to have an answer.
