    Weekend Premier League

James Beattie puts ten-man Stoke 1-0 up at home to Manchester City in the fifth minute of first-half stoppage time.

City lose to the worst team in the Premier League (in terms of quality) despite playing fifty three minutes against ten men.

The man sent-off is Stoke's most potent weapon.

It takes City until the ninety-third minute to muster a shot on target and that was via a deflection.

Now if only they had some money to improve the squad!

    Agreed Scoob.

I am kicking myself as City have been poor on their travels this season and I haven't just opposed them away from home, I have backed the opposition.

For some reason, I backed a draw today. :(

I did 1-0 Stoke on IKTS but didnt think that was possible when they went down to 10, City fans must despair! :D Hey your team look a bit big for the draw tonight jj, much as I want Utd to win 5-0 again :) I just think the draw is a bit big for this match?

Andy Johnson matches the achievement of his former Everton strike-partner James Beattie and puts Fulham a goal ahead at home to Portsmouth.

As much as I'd love a draw Scoob, most of our midfield are either absolutely shattered and/or carrying injuries.

Leon Osman, for example, should have had a hernia operation in October/November but he hasn't been able to because we are so short of numbers. He has been running on empty in recent weeks.

I expect as many as Cahill, Arteta and Fellaini to miss the game through injury and wouldn't be surprised if others were rested.

Spurs pull a goal back at the Reebok courtesy of substitute Darren Bent who then equalises immediately!

West Brom are back on level terms at the KC following a Chris Brunt penalty.

    Full-time results in 3.00pm kick-offs:-

    Arsenal 0 West Ham 0
    Aston Villa 0 Wigan 0
    Bolton 3 Spurs 2
    Fulham 3 Portsmouth 1
    Hull 2 West Brom 2
    Middlesbrough 0 Blackburn 0

Arsene Wenger only has himself to blame as he inexplicably decides to start without Robin van Persie.

I thought it was outside the box at first but he does hang his leg out and appears to catch him inside the box. Two stupid penalties conceded in two seasons at OT. :(

I thought we had done well until that point. Frustrated we couldn't hold-out until half-time because it wouldn't have flattered us.

All we need now is for Chelsea to win on Sunday, and Liverpool can start making the usual 3rd place nest!
