You are all getting too soft - severe weather worse than this and we still went to school or work
the trains ran buses were the only problem in the hills. didn't bother with gritting yet still drove our cars with very little problems except when you couldn't find your car as it was buried under snow - That was when we had snow - todays snow is nothing

My school used to be 4 miles away, still got there in thick snow in the 80's. School only ever closed when the heating broke.
How come all the village schools around me are open, with uncleared country roads, and kids travelling miles, and yet all the city schools shut up shop?
