    Sir Bobby Robson Dies

Great man. Well respected. Unlike some 'oles these days in the game.

Aww, I didn't realise he'd died - such a shame. Not totally unexpected given his health problems but sad all the same :(

yeah a great man. I read at the weekend about the match they played for him and thought he looked very frail, as Mat said not unexpected but very sad.

"Listen to me. I can just about handle you, driving like a pissed-up crackhead and treating women like beanbags, but I’m going to say this once and once only, Gene: stay out of Camberwick Green!"

sad day indeed - especially for us Ipswich supporters. To us he was an idol, even more so than the players that he constantly got the best out of. It's no coincidence that our fortunes took a nosedive the day he took the England job.

I've never understood the attraction of bestiality but looking back over my life it does appear as though I married a cow, lived with a moose, been out with at least 5 dogs and spent a lot of time being chased by whales.

It's ok - you got your own back plus 50% in '95.

One of the good guys in the game, an absolute legend and worthy of being mentioned alongside the likes of Shankly and Busby....

Bobby Robson leaves Ipswich - Ipswich become
Bobby Robson leaves England - England become , pick Geoff Thomas and Carlton Palmer
Booby Robson sacked by Newcastle - hmmm, there's a pattern here

Sad really that his true value to the game in this country wasn't properly appreciated until he was an old man, apart of course from those fans at Ipswich and Newcastle. He was one of the few guys who as a pundit on telly, had the humour, intelligence and depth of knowledge of the game to be worth listening to, and always interesting.

sometimes i think we forget what a great manager he really was 2 league titles with PSV, 1 cup and 2 league titles with porto, 1 cup 1 league and ECWC with barcelona as well as the fa cup and ECWC with ipswich.
truelly a great manager and a great person.

I have an impressive bank of knowledge and experience. Unfortunately, I've lost the combination to this bank.
