Went to a family party yesterday and came back to a pleasant surprise. I was in decent profit despite the 8.20 winning lay in the first race. I had left the house hoping for a break-even day.
Today, I lost three quarters of what I won yesterday.
The two horses that did the damage were Olivino at 9.20 and Volochova which was a double lay at 6.20. I followed both races via the Betfair markets and both were seemingly out of it with Olivino trading at 32.0 a matter of seconds before the end of the race and Volochova trading in double figures just before the suspended sign appeared.
The same can be said for Lord Aeryn which qualified for three back systems and which won at 3.80. That was trading at around 22.00 shortly before the end of the race!

Although we'll never know, Sod's Law states that all the big profits where at Ayr :splapme
