Do any fellow "mature" members have like myself fond memorys of this jockey,at the time it seemed that he had been around forever but even when he became the grandad of the weighing room he still used his riding ability and tactical experiance to prouduce winners.

My fondest memorys concern his riding of ROMAN WARRIOR and a commentator with good intent once described him as "perched like a pea" on the back of this massive horse, some pea some horse.

The other thing i liked about the guy is that he appered a great ambassador for the sport modest dispite his many achievement's and always quick to give credit praise and advise to others.
