World book day , what are you reading

As its world book day today thought i would start a discussion on this

So what are you reading at the minute and would you reccomend it ??

What is the best book you have ever read ??

I am reading Slash the autobiography and its exellent , well worth reading and he speaks a lot about the music not just about all the crazy drug riddled nights.

My favourite book is called "About Face" its about the most decorated soldier in American history written by himself amazing book one of the best vietnam books ever written.

At the minute I'm reading "Taming the Infinite" by Ian Stewart. It's a history of mathematics.

Incidentally I read Slash's autobiography a couple of weeks ago. Good book.

At the start of the year I created a blog to track all the books I read, hoping to get through at least 80 this year. It's going well so far.

Just looked at your Blog Mat looks good and some good in depth write ups will keep an eye on it.

Another good book you might like which i have just finished is the "official history of the MI5" a exellent in depth history from the first days with Captain Kell to the present day
It did take a while to read though lol about 2 months as it is quite a thick book

    world book day

I am currently reading my second book by Joe Abercrombie, called The Blade Its self.
I was half hearted with the first book as it is a kind of history/fantasy book which i did not think would appeal much but i soon became engrossed and the current one is just as good.

i'm reading the guinness book of military blunders at the moment but normally i'm into science fiction/fantasy.
my favourite of all time would have to be stephen donaldsons chronicles of thomas covenant although i do love terry pratchets discworld series

I have an impressive bank of knowledge and experience. Unfortunately, I've lost the combination to this bank.

It was rumoured at the time that he was doing it after LOTR and I saw a trailer on the web a few years back but it was obviously faked.

Talking of Tolkien, I read LOTR a few years back, around the time the films came out. Crikey but those books are hard work. Jackson et al did a good job cutting through those books to make watchable films.

The last one I read was Jill and John go to the shops.

I'm currently reading, Jill and John go to the park.

They have just got ready to go out... can't wait to see what happens next!

Can't you read any books whose images don't like obviously faked? What happened to a standard image of the book cover like you get on Amazon etc?

I haven't been able to find any good fiction books recently so I've decided to get back into my pet interest area of artificial intelligence with the textbook from one of my favourite uni subjects and a great PDF.

Book: Multi Agent Systems by Wooldridge.
PDF: An Introduction to Neural Networks by Krose and van der Smagt

Just picked up a Spike Milligan book at the library. Years since I read the ones about his war experiences. This one is just as daft. Great read. It's titled The Murphy.
