    Cheltenham 2010

Well I don't think that meeting will be living long in our memories ...... I can't even remember most of the winners already .... pretty sure the bookies know them though :splapme

The only horse of note I thought was Big Buck's, and he should be back to take it again next year as horses have a habit of running up a sequence in that race, a bit like the Ascot Gold Cup :)

Ah well, flat season starts in a few days ..... then Aintree .... not really any Chelters rematches to look forward to this year though.

Eh? Wot? Crikey! We do live on different planets!

You mean you didn't put Rock Noir in your notebook? I was telling my landlord to back it now for next years Champion Hurdle, if he'd have won yesterday, he would be single figures today, no doubt - didn't run too bad & still clocked a notable speed figure back in 21st!

But also Najaf could be a future star ??

But a classic Gold Cup! I think the rain may have got into the ground which swung things in Denman's favour against Kauto but just as much likely to suit the winner & I reckon he'll be back to defy the stats for 10yo's - 0 from 35 these last 11 years - next year.

I could go on... but time...

I think it was mostly the big Race between Denman and Kauto star didnt live upto the big shootout that it was supposed to be that will make it a festival not to remember for me. I came close on so many decent winners but ended up a fair amount down so thats another reason to forget it as soon as possible!

    Over-hyped - & Kauto over-rated!

But no offence like but it would appear absolute folly to ignore any Cheltenham form, year after year, Weapons Amnesty, Albertas Run & Imperial Commander (whose sire is profitable to follow at the track anyway), to name but a few, come back for more.

But I liked that, on C4 just, someone emailed in to suggest that Ted Walsh be nominated as sire of the meeting & I doubt very much his daughter will be forgetting it.
