    Cool European Grand Prix

My daughter lives in Valencia and she has got tickets for the Grand Prix. She has got me one for the three days - Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Last Time I went the track was in progress of being built. So I have booked the flight.
And I have somewhere to stay at her flat. She is not too far away from the track. Friday and Saturday should be ok with practise and fighting for pole position but I must say I am not really looking forward to the actual race unless there are some developments made to make it a race and not a prosession. Still the beach is only a few metres away - that may be more interesting. Still it's a few days away from the everyday grind.

Even if the race is as dull as dishwater, I can imagine plenty of worse things than watching a dull grand prix in valencia for 2 hours

I don't think that they'll make the drastic measures needed to liven things up at any point this year, but there's bound to be some exciting points in a season.

Hope you enjoy yoursle JW. I'm sure that you will.

Maybe the races beforehand will be better than the grand prix itself. Sounds good though John, hope you have a really good time out there. I quite fancy going to Valencia at some point. Not for the motor racing, just to see the place.

What surprises me is the ambiguity of the race name. Whilst all of the other races in the season have specific names related to the country, "European" Grand Prix just feels so vague. Maybe whoever dreamt it up didn't like the Spaniards?!

Have a good time at the race John, and enjoy Valencia. Hopefully the race'll be an improvement on Bahrain!

If anyone of you do go to Valencia between the 24th and 28th June and decide to go for a drink the above bars are recommended - I will be the one with a beard and accompanied by a blue eyed blonde
