    Article on BBC Website

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...al/8582417.stm

    I quote:

"There was also good news for Aaron Ramsey, Arsenal's 19-year-old Wales international who bright the tibia and fibula in his right leg during February's 3-1 victory at Stoke."

On first read it's unclear that the "good" news is in reference to the paragraph that follows. Pretty misleading stuff.

Horrendous spelling error though, and they do this every day.

It's becoming increasingly common for paragraphs to contain little more than a single sentence, especially with online media. It seems to just be the way things are going. Perhaps it's a by-product of the 'on demand' ADD world we live in these days. It it can't be written as a snappy soundbite then no-one will read it. Personally, I can't write like that, hence my custom user title.

As for the typo, it's poor for the BBC who are normally pretty good, especially when you think about the amount of written content they produce these days. Many other sites are a lot, lot worse.

Yep. The online world is in fact becoming Twitter-tastic, I'm afraid. I can't write shorthand either, or even all that concisely. I'd much prefer to have something text heavy to get the full idea, but not to the point of it boring me.

Your custom user title doesn't seem to be displaying properly for me, or maybe it's because I either (a) have a fantastic Apple Mac, (b) am stupid, or (c) both of the aforementioned items.

For me it reads: "tl;dr specialist"

Despite your Mac, that's what it should say. Now google "tl;dr"...

Aha! Well, despite the length of some of your posts, its definition is so ironic. :D
