Well said Veg man,from a betting point of view i always have mixed feelings when i decide to back one ridden by him,because although the punter could not ask for a better man on board,his following is such that often the above has to be weighed out against possible loss of value.

His national win was hard earned and well deserved,although the 11-5 is going to mess up the stats?.

Not really. Only Red Rum has carried more than 11-5 to victory since 1957 and that still holds true. Although I did notice that when AP stood on the scales at the end they read 11-6

That's what I love about racing, constant history being made, and yet even a guy with 3000+ wins on the board can have one of the best days of his life :)
