    World Cup Chatter

I thought id try and see if a chatter thread works for the World Cup.

So far watched the 2 games and the constant buzzing from the crowd is killing me!

On The Sun website they have "How do you like that Thierry, Now handball cheat is on the recieving end"

The guy tried to keep his arm by his side there was never anything wrong with it in my opinion! dont understand how thats a story!

    anyway rant over. :)

I quite enjoyed watching France suffer against 10 man Uruguay

I'd have thought the main news would have been the host team getting the first goal, I bet he's woke up a bit of a hero today

France could (should) have won that game easily last night but choked.

As for the 'handball', no penalty as the guy was trying to get his arm out the way and it was ball to hand anyway. But it's not surprising that the red-tops are making a big deal out of it as it was Henry who struck the ball towards the guy. Any half-story will do when you have pages to fill and don't let the facts get in the way

Think France looked a bit devoid of ideas , once they come up against a stronger team they could suffer

Argentina look good going forward but look vulnerable at the back , Nigeria could have and should have brought it back to 1-1. Nigeria have made the mistake of not man marking Messi he wouldn't have had this much space otherwise

It took till last night for a really entertaining game to come along but what a game. How good do Germany look? OK, it was only Australia but Germany looked really dangerous, carving the Aussies open at will.

A joy to watch wasn't it, they do look very good although they will come up against a lot tougher than that. But they would have too much for England on that form. They actually know how to pass and move and play like a team...how do they do it?!!!

Was expecting more from Holland in this game, although Denmark look like a pretty good team to be fair, my over 2.5 Goals bet isnt looking to good!

It was a very good header! :)

Holland looked very good in the 2nd half, should of been 3-0

TV Catchup's brilliant, I love it. Hopefully I'll listen/watch-combo Ivory Coast vs. Portugal tomorrow whilst at work. Then it's Brazil tomorrow night.

Robbie Earle sacked by ITV. Now, I don't like to see anyone lose their job (although I am sure that it will improve the level of punditry on ITV no end).

But, and this is the big question in all of this for me, how in the hell does Robbie Earle get allocated 40 odd tickets ?????

I thought the Koreans played really well, and their goal was a great finish. Brazil were okay by Brazil's standards, and at okay they still look like they'd absolutely demolish England. They just looked so fluent and skillful with the ball, little flicks and tricks in so many of their moves, they know what each other is doing. Germany are another great team of understanding each other when going forward and attacking the opposition. Would love to see what Emile Heskey would do if you put him in a Brazil shirt.

Best result I'd say is Japan's win .... It'd be good to see Asian teams get better as they may push England further down the rankings
