Should be interesting, he has a bit of a reputation for being a grumpy sod at times, especially when his old band get mentioned!

Hello BC,
I saw The Stranglers 3 times in my younger years & they were brilliant each time.
Wouldn't be in a rush to see them nowadays as it wouldn't be the same without Hugh Cornwell being in the group.
Just imagine yourself going to see Motorhead without Lemmy (esp after all you 2 have been through
)
That said I would go & see HC just to hear their old groups songs.

I saw them twice with Hugh as well, and yes they were brilliant, highlight being a storming set at the Reading Festival in the late 80's. I saw them once with the guy who replaced him and they were still really good but not quite the same. The last couple of studio albums have been very good though, well worth checking out. I know that for a good few years Hugh refused to play any Stranglers material live but he's softened that stance nowawdays so it must be worth catching him to hear the original voice singing them. As for Motorhead without Lemmy.. that just wouldn't happen... he's such an iconic figure that he is totally irreplaceable. Though I do know one guy who would do a good job.. ex Hawkwind bass player Alan Davey is a Lemmy fan, plays a Rickenbacker in a similar style and can do a pretty passable Lemmy style vocal too. Stlll, it's very unlikely...
