At one time I did a fair few horse systems and I used Betting Assistant for placing them. I typed in the horse names of the bets I had for the day (actually I think I pasted in them) on an excel sheet that was linked to the bot, as each race refreshed into excel it would match any name to the list and if there was a match the bet was placed ( this was from a vlookup table if I recall correctly, together with the stake - typed in the cell next to the horses list) There was the occasional diff spelling in betfair or maybe a typo, I usually did check that providing I had the time. Anyway it worked well but I haven't done any automated betting in some time and can't remember how to set that up now although I'm sure it would come back to me quickly enough. Anyway something along those lines may work for you as long as you add in a max odds for the lays of course in the 'bet' condition. Not sure about Bet Angel although I would think the process would be virtually the same. I use Betting Assistant as it does pretty much what Bet Angel does and is incredibly cheap for what it offers.
