Changes to the Site, Results & Membership.

It's been a few years since I've done anything major with the coding behind this site and over that time bugs and errors have crept into the results, so over the coming days I will be resetting all of them to a start date of 1/8/11. I'll add a downloadable file of the correct result from my own records.

I'll be making changes to the site & membership, although not a major change. A few pages will change but the main update will be to the Free Tips & Membership pages.

At present the Members bets are listed in different catergories, this will be changing to one list under the heading 'Pro-Bets', however for those following seperate lists and wish to continue I may add an additional column labelling which list it would have been in if people ask for it. The System & Odds-On Banker will also be blended with this list.

The reason for this is to simply the membership and results so they are clear to everyone.

I have spent the last 4 weeks doing extensive research on all the information supplied and some of the current systems used will be dropped, and others added as one list allows me to add in a low SR system with reasonable priced winners.

One other thing I've researched and the reason for the change is that the new list will be profitable long term for WIN, EW, and PLACE only bets. Obviously the latter giving a much smoother ride with around a 70% SR, but a lower average win odds. You need to decide what type of bet you will use and stick to it, the same goes for the Place part, decide on Tote, betting exchange or bookie and stay with it. I use betting exchanges as non-runners do not change the payout, so a 8 runner race which then has a non-runner still pays 3 places on a betting exchange.

With so many possible combinations of betting and all the different prices available I have yet to decide on how to workout the place prices, although I am thinking along the lines of 1/5th for every placed horse to keep it simple. I need a few more days research on this though so will include live place results last.

A single list also gives me far more control on ensuring long term profitability, which is the purpose of offering my information.

I'll keep you informed when updates take place, the only one at the moment is the Pro-Bets results reset to 1/8/11.

The Max lays will still be available to members, while the Turbo Lays will remain free till the New Year.

Well this has been a bigger job than expected , but then that is always the case with computers

The Members page has now been changed, the seperate Flat & NH Lists are gone, and all win bets (apart from Odds On & System Bankers) are in the Pro-Bet list. For those members still following these lists I have added an addtional column to the Pro-Bets that specifies which list it would have been in if any. (I'll be inputing a few 'duds' today so ignore them)

5 Year+ result are now available for download from the Free Tips page. This alone has taken me 3 days sorting out all the data from my own stats, and as you can now do the Pro-Bets EW or Place I had to come up with a way of showing the results as I do not keep stats of the number of runners/entries. So I settled on a top 3 finish being a win bet, ignore 4th places, and calculating them all at 1/5th the odds which is below the average. You can play around with these figures in the spreadsheet though.

You are keeping it simple Keith. What about the turbo lays, they are doing really well but they are time consuming. Is there any possibility of them being in some sort of file that we can import them on a bot?

I've done most of the work, although I need to sort out one bug displaying some info ... I'll be combining the NH/Flat lists as no reason to keep them seperate now.

I did however notice a major cock-up in the results I put up It seems I managed to cut'n'paste some lay results for this year into it. No wonder the results graph was all over the place but only just had time to check it, and Excel managed to mess up the list in another area as well ... or maybe that's me not being 100% Excel savvy

I've update the CORRECT results now and triple checked them
