Didn't see the forum yesterday and wondered what the site guv'nor's view on Dalglish's sacking would be.

To think chairmen in the not so distant past used to get a rough ride from fans, but at least the former usually came from the area, and whatever ego massaging they wanted, they were also keen for the club to do well and put the town on the map or, if they were based in a big city, give the place a boost.

Now you've got Hiram P Burgertrougher III from the good ol' USA snapping up big British clubs, and I can just picture them considering the purchase: "Say, Herb, what's that there soccerball game they play over in Englandland? I hear it's awash with money and so I wanna piece of that Limey pastime".
