So, did Fergie tell him to do that?Presumably their long haul jaunts to the other side of the world for a tour around Asia and Australia meanwhile was a good thing for easing the players into the season.

This really doesn't seem like a David Moyes statement does it, if I was a betting man I would say he has been chatting with Fergie and he told him to say this- thing is it looks too obvious. He also implies the ties didnt occur naturally...so what is he saying? Be your own man David ffs!

I'm not sure what his point was anyway. With all the toughest games grouped together, you get a decent run until the return fixtures, and then another easy run at the end of the season.

You have to play everyone twice anyway, so what does it matter.
We all know Fergie will still be pulling some strings, and I suppose Moyes must have accepted that when he took the job.
