    ROI vs Profit

    Hi

What is more important? ROI or overall profit when creating a system with some constant variables but another variable can be used to fine tune it (eg. racetype).

Here are the results of a system, that I have used to create 4 new systems by fine tuning it. The main variables are consistent throughout except I have looked at how it performs when filtering the race type and race category.

System 1 is the version that I am currently using. Would I be better off switching to System 4 as it has produce more overall profit with the same SR and only a drop of 4% ROI?

All profits are to a £1 level stake.

    Thanks

On doing some further research, I have found that the ROI is actually the yield (profit/total staked).

If each system was to be trialled with a £100 starting bank then system 4 would have the highest ROI (profit/starting bank).

So I think I have basically answered my own question here.

Unless, anybody else has anything to contribute.

Always got for ROI%, as that is what produces the profit over the long term.

One of the best filters for systems in the UK is Racecourses. As ours are so varied, their can be a big difference in how a system works on each of them.
