Looks like the original post fell off the forum at some point, but this is pretty straightforward. Follow any of these selections, which all end in "d'Estruval".
Intended to post on Sunday (Granit d'Estruval) but was away from home, and Igloo d'Estruval has just won the last at Exeter at 11/2 ::swear

Dad?
I should add that some of those at the bottom of the list (the R's and S's) probably aren't running any more. If they are, they'd be well over 20 years old! The rest are between 14 and 5 years old.

Cheers for that updated list Glos, the ones I did have are on my SL Nag Me subscription ;)
Backing Granit for (IIRC) the Irish GN last year was one of my highlights of the year, especially when I tell people at work to back it - unless, of course, they don't back it!!! No helping some people eh :D

Tell me about it - a mate asked for some tips as he was off on a pub trip to Hereford races last month. I gave him 4 winners and 6 places from the 7 races (one of which romped home at 25/1) but he STILL decided to follow the selections of his increasingly boozed-up mates. Like you said, there's no helping some people.

I'm saying nothing about systems that use horses names just because they sound nice, besides my Gran never made any money :doh :)

I had a similar experience at Kempton this summer. We went there for a team night out. My boss had been told by his wife to back the grey ones. So he did. The last race a grey comes home at over 30s on the Tote returns. Grrr!

Follow any of these selections, which all end in "d'Estruval".
So by 'follow' them, you mean we have to chase them around the track then! :D
manckevin
3rd November 2004, 13:38
Read "follow" in any way you like. A trend may emerge, possibly pedigree related, which will be one of the areas I may look into on those currently racing through the list kindly provided by Glos :)
Like you say, don't let a name sway you, but I know I'll still be "following" the likes of Azertyuiop, Best Mate, Amberleigh House etc. throughout the coming jumps season - or are you saying that too would not be advisable?
Win2Win
3rd November 2004, 14:15
They are 'names' of 'form' horses, and not 'names' of horses because they have a nice name :)
Pedigree will not make any difference, as it's NH, and the vast majority aren't pattern horses.

'Granit d'Estruval (FR)' is running in the 2.20pm at Carlisle (Monday) LOST
Currently (12.12pm) around 11/2 - 8/1 depending where you're looking. Only six runners though, which of course cuts down the each-way options.

Still watching them - I reckon with a lot of these about it could well be possible that overall they would be in profit if you used place/ew bets dependent on price.
Jazz is pretty damn good, despite fluffing its lines the other week (at 1/8 as well) :(
