My mum wants a granddaughter

She had 4 sons

It is a very difficult cycle to break , nausea leading to lack of appetite then nausea...I think the trick is to eat little and often , especially to have a biscuit and a drink very first thing in the morning even before she sets one foot out of the bed, then that helps to get her blood sugar up....I did mean Mrs Vegy not you mind !!!!
Hope she feels better soon :)

24th October 2005, 22:48
when my missus was up the duffer, she just moaned all the time

:doh hang on, she still does that now :doh

Congrats mate!

Ruby
24th October 2005, 22:58
Ooh .....and I have just remembered ...she could try some warmed up flat ginger ale which helps with nausea, or to open a can of ginger ale, keep it by the bed with a couple of plain bikkies and when she wakes up in the morning , it will be flat and she can drink it then. Ginger is good for nausea even if you are not pregnant, you can get ginger tea bags, and crystallized ginger also. Or you can make ginger tea the Asian way, boil up a couple of tea bags in a saucepan, and put some cut fresh root ginger in and let it simmer, then strain it and put milk in if you wish and or sugar as required. Obviously the strength of the tea will be made according to taste.
Hope this helps...she may of course hate and detest ginger!! But it's worth a mention...:)
