Its a great show, I catch it when I can.
Yesterday was a nightmare.
The guy got offered £54,000, he took it then found out that the box sitting in front of him contained £250,000.
Fair play to him no-one in their right mind would turn down £54,000 but to then discover you could have walked away with £250,000 must be a killer

I've seen it a few times - very good indeed! And about time Noel Edmonds was back on telly, one of the best game show hosts around.

It is a surprisingly good show, especially for day-time TV.

Caught in 2 weeks ago in the pub, and now make a point of watching it whenever possible, in the pub, with a bunch of gamblers .... good stuff!

We had hoped that 'Trevor' would get nothing today, as he's come across as a smug, know-all in the past couple of weeks ... :(

Great show, watched it out of interest first day, now make a point of watching it. Glad the guy today got a big win as he's offered some sound advice to the other players. Seems to be a real team spirit going amongst the players and they all seem genuinely pleased to see everyone win. I think the camaradery that's come from it may even have surprised the makers as it's added something else to it too.

Yes there is zomby. I only know this for sure because when I was in the audience and sitting 2 rows away from the contestant you could hear the banker speaking to Noel Ooo What a show it is mark I'm a big fan of the show so much so that I've been in the audience 4 times and am going again in a couple of weeks :) Will be offering the usual 5/6 each whether the first box opened is a red or a blue :mover

Mate I've no problem with the "travelling folk" sterotype as long as ye put up with the preception that the "sasnachs" are pot bellied, tattoded laden, lager swilling, obnoxious brutes. Ooo

As someone that back horses you got to have a sence of humor, and from what i've read here, pisstaking is common, which is good for a laugh, but sometimes "generalisations" is just plain shyte!

I know I'm still just a "tyre kicker" on this forum (i'm still trying to work out how can Keith pick out a horse to win and lay at the same time:yikes: {jacks craic, armaguedon}and i dont often bitch (mainly I'm too lazy) and if I can contribute some thing usefull, so be it

As we say over here " aitnean ceirog, ceirog eile" - it takes an insect to know a insect!:geek :D

If they were 'C' Bets, that is info only, not bets I do, unless they are upgraded later on.Otherwise the WIN always overrules the LAY bet.

Surely all bets start off a "C" bets. Why would you put in a "C" horse if the stats show that it was unlikely to finish in front according to your lay formula/method? Would no bet where there is a nagging doubt either way be more astute?

By the way Craggy Island was filmed in Clare:wink

vegyjones

C bets are for horses that Keith has noted and generally run well. He doesn't bet them unless they are upgraded. They are there for informational purposes for members to do with as they please! :)

Mathematically your expectation is £55k so he did the right thing not to deal. That's if you appraoch this from a maths point of view and not a "how much money would I settle for" point of view

If he had in his mind to leave with 10K or there abouts he was going to be happy what ever the result.
