In my rating system i deduct points for certain form do other members do that on their system?
plus my result's are good but no clues of when one will win even just backing highest rated does not work.Only small clue is small race's do well but any tip's on choosing which race's to back or anythink which might help.thanks. :)

avoid banded racing. very hard to pick a winner in from my experience anyway.
I dont know much about ground etc. so i like to concentrate on the AW tracks. My best advice would be to try to specialise in one area of racing, when you are making a regular profit there, then try another area

My rating system is for jump's only.As deduct point's for fall's + pulled up's
in small race's where 2 are well ahead of rest had 3 selection's 2 in each race got forecast and winner 100%.Would you suggest that i stick just with these
which is pretty obvious i know but only have 1 race a day if lucky to bet on.how many race's do you back a day?.

How long has it been running?

Record all horses, type of race, prices and stake over say 100 bets, then a pattern will start to emerge.

Not sure how many races qualify for your system. eg. does it only work for Jumps? what other criteria does it require?

SYSTEM RULES:hope you understand if i don't give you how much for each.Don't want to give it away.
+ 1st
+ 2nd
+ 3rd
-fell
-p/u
-o (out of first 9 places)
-has not run in under 800 days
Does well on a/w but result's all over the place.
Give each horse a rating in evey race and if one stand's out or clear of rest will back it if in small field.had winner's up to 16/1 and had 10 forecast's up in four day's.Still studying result's.

As i say, the only advice I can really offer is to try to specialise on one type of racing. The reason is that it is easier to find out what is going wrong if you are running the system over the same type of race. Also, I would advise paper trading on the system over a few hundred bets, because then you can chop and change it without risking your own bread. also, be patient. these things take a lot of time to see if they work. There is nothing worse than spending months on a system, only to find it unprofitable, but it happens.

There is a book called
;- Racing systems with the calculator by John White

That has a lot on how to do this. Just not sure how he devised the methods used. Would have liked to know how to determine what figures to use. That has always bothered me with these systems.
