Anyone got one or can recommend one at a decent price that an old dear could use without too much training?

My auld man told me yesterday that Sky have done this new thing,
where if you press record during the promo of a film, you know an advert for it...

when that film is on, it will automatically record it for you :yikes: :yikes:

If you do get one and you are in the london area you can listen to Iain Lee on LBC deal with all the mentalists that ring in radio stations at 3.30. My favourite radio show at the moment.

Yeah I can OFF. Give me an hour and I'll find out what my dad bought my mum for Xmas. It's beautiful and simple to use. How much are you looking to spend?

Nice one John, not sure on the budget. My brother-in-law will probably end up paying most so not really an issue!

Right here goes, have spoken to mother...

Her digi radio is a Ferguson one and when I asked her for the model she said "the number on the front" is FRG-R116D. I haven't put this into google or anything but hopefully that'll bring up the radio that sits in our kitchen.

Apparently Curry's had a half price special offer before Christmas making the radio cost around £50, but this might have ended now, will look into it for you.

Had a look to see if I could find that anywhere else, turns out it's exclusive to Dixons and Currys.... typical!

Win2Win

I can 'lift' one if you don't want the box or instructons :laugh

I popped to Curry's earlier. They've got a similar radio, also a Ferguson one with 8 preset stations available, LCD display, yadda yadda, same features as the one above... and that one is now the half price one. So tomorrow I'm off to buy that one instead (at £50). :)

Talking of curry...I fancy a lettuce....

bigcumba
4th February 2006, 21:34
Not long finished a nice curry... Chicken Khushbah, Keema nan, chicken pakora, pilau rice.... and a few beers now to wash it down. What this has to do with DAB radio I don't know.... :)

Win2Win
4th February 2006, 21:52
I thought a DAB was a fish, but I prefer PLAICE

bigcumba
4th February 2006, 22:04
Ah, so a dab hand is one that's been somewhere fishy? :D

Win2Win
4th February 2006, 22:32
Remember the old proverb......A bird in the hand leaves it smelling of fish...
