Not often I'd recommend buying the Guardian but I just saw an ad on telly that they're giving away a DVD of one of the best British horror movies ever on Saturday - The Wicker Man. Here's a review of it if you don't know what it's about - this is a real classic, and you get the bonus of Britt Ekland in the buff...:D

And has also been made this year. Stars Nick Cage and will be out soon. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450345/

I forgot there was a remake in the offing... pretty much an all American cast... so I doubt it'll be set in the Western Isles then  I like Nick Cage, one of the best actors around and rarely makes a bad movie, so I'll reserve judgment till I see this one... I just hope they don't faff it up.

I will certainly buy that Saturday, Cheers Big C.

I have been buying its sister paper The Observer for years and that is a brilliant newspaper. I have been buying the Independent as my daily for a while but not the Guardian even though I like the Observer. I know the reputation it has got but then I have never read it so how can I judge it? I can Judge "papers" like the Sun because there have been occasions when I have picked it up and read it - usually takes up to 20 minutes if you insist on doing the crossword too as well as reading it. So maybe I will enjoy the paper but if it is as bad as some say at least I will have the Wicker man in my collection. Cheers mate

The wicker man is a great film OFF :)

Not sure why they are re-making it, it cant be bettered so why bother. If you aint seen it just buy the guardian and throw the paper away.
