I love watching the old races, and the RP have put together some video of cheltenham that is well worth watching. It is no secret here that my favourite horse of all time is Istabraq. The first proper bet I placed (apart from my da going to the bookies for me on grand national day) was in 1998 on Istabraq at Cheltenham, and that is what got me hooked on racing ever since. I backed him every year, and then the fuc*ing mouth disease ruined his chance of the record.
I have just watched the footage of him win in '98 '99 and 2000 , and got quite nostalgic to be honest. (Although certain amounts of wine have been consumed by me :)) Was he really that good?.... Yes he bloody was!!! Just watch him again.
