Napoleon's Casino

If you're ever silly or desperate enough to wish to frequent the dirty, scrubby prostitute-ridden delights of the city of Hull then you could do no better than to visit Napoleon's Casino. Now, I'm not sure how things ranks alongside other casinos as it was the first one that I went to, but I had a great time. I lost the £20 worth of chips I bought myself in for playing Blackjack with but considering it was my first casino visit, I wasn't too bothered!

I spent three years at the latter, and admittedly haven't been back there in recent years, but they were a fantastic three years and I think that poor old Hull is very underrated.

It's probably a question of getting under the skin of the place. At the outset we were given a handbook by the student union which included a list of the local "anti-student" pubs and nightspots to avoid. Being of a certain size myself, and having fallen in quickly with a bunch of mates who's main criteria in applying to the university was the high standard of the rugby league team, we made it our mission to visit every "dodgy" place on the list (and there were plenty of them) and had the time of our lives.

I bloody luv Hull, I do!
