Accordello(Ire), winner of today's £20k H'cap Hdle @ Aintree was in receipt of a 7lb mare's allowance & had been freshened up by a spin on the flat when she beat this fellow by 1/2 a length in a £3k Mdn Hdle @ Wetherby last weekend. Today's endeavours have just given the Wetherby form a massive boost considering there was 7l's back to the 3rd of the other 18 runners.
I'm not sure what this will do to his h'cap rating but I reckon if he gets in off anything under an OR of [120] - 'tis good. Connections will probably take in a Nov Hdle somewhere on the northern circuit along the way though for this bumper winner who just happens to be a full brother of Brave Villa, a lowly h'cap chase winner of last week. Having been off the course for 7 months, he will strip fitter next time out!

Stolen Moments, fresh, 10/11 tips, evsf fc. Bar the price, looks alright to me. There is an interesting EW prospect in the race as well, by the way of:
George The Grey, trainer had three entered, including the well clear TS and now leaves only this, 25/s fc.

I can’t say Stolen Moments is going to win this competitive novice hurdle. This is a hot little heat with 5 of the runners having adjusted RPR’s of 120+. One thing I’m pretty confident of is that it will throw a few winners, h’cap hurdles later this season (esp on the Northern circuit) & in the long term, some of these will be winning novice chases.

Here’s Johnny, 41, D. After having said on another thread that his trainer was worth following @ Taunton yesterday & come back with nothing, it wouldn’t surprise me if they were to bounce back & win this. Travelled a long way for the attempt but
Nevertika, 32, D
Imperial Commander, 53, has travelled a similar distance but his trainer boasts a 4/5 w/r sr with the hurdlers that he does send here & his jockey has won 2/3, so the 2/1fc is value on the stats.
Jass, 26, bf, useful bumper form but disappointed last time, is with the trainer of Accordello, who beat the below on his seasonal debut
Stolen Moments, 36, bf. Come to think of it reading the RP Analysis of his form franked last run, this more competitive race may just pan out in his favour, whether that will be enough to actually win is hard to fathom.

Whatever happens today though, there is a hatful of future winners amongst this lot.

Well that has to be worth bearing in mind for the future. Twiston-Davies now has an 83% sr & jockey Tony Evans a 75% sr with hurdlers @ Newcastle & the RP Analysis says of the winner, Imperial Commander that whatever he does as a hurdler, he'll be an even better chaser.

As for Stolen Moments(Fr), again it was a comparitively slow run race which won't suit but now he is qualified for h'caps & after this run he may just get in below 120.

Thought I'd heard the name before!

Ran a career best last time & is quite fancied for this but the stable are under a bit of a cloud so if I were having a bet here (not sure yet - see if Sandown & Wetherby go ahead, if not, definitely!) I would split my stake with course specialist Bob Bob Bobbin.
