Let's see if Vegy can work this one out although everyone else is welcome to have a go :ooo

Leyton Orient players from the past played the current team in a charity football match.

During the course of the game, Billy Jones (played from 2000-03) scored 1 goal, and Mikele Leigertwood (2001) scored twice. How many goals did Bert Batten (1927-28) score?

No takers? It's not that hard, surely :)

Right then...the answer is 10 goals

I told you it was easy-peasy :)

Why is the answer 10?

I couldn't work this one out yesterday!

No, nothing to do with shirt numbers or the actual amount of goals they scored.

I assume it's something to do with the yeasr they played being that Glos has specifically included it i the question, but can't think what!

I think the fact the current team lost 10-3 to the 1928 side says a lot :wink :D

I think the fact the current team lost 10-3 to the 1928 side says a lot :wink :DTo be fair we don't know the final score. But it wouldn't be 10-3 as the players quoted are all past players so we know the current team conceded at least 13 :yikes:

Look at the players' surnames......

Jones, Leigertwood, Batten.

That's the correct logic...the seasons in which they played was a red herring :)
