Game 2 Rules:

The eSafe will initially contain a provisional prize amount of £10.
(Please note: The eSafe contents will not fall below this amount.)

The eSafe has an 8 character combination comprising of 7 numbers (from 1 through to 0) & 1 letter (A, B, C, D or E) required to open it.
DIGITS in the combination can occur more than once in the combination sequence.
The LETTER can appear in ANY position in the combination sequence.

14 different people will be required to register to start the game.
Each person will be allocated a number/box between 1 & 14.
This number/box will correspond to one of the 14 ‘National Lottery’ Thunderballs..

People will remain ‘owners’ of their Thunderball number & corresponding box for as long as it takes for their number to be drawn in the Wednesday & Saturday Thunderball draws.
After the first draw, people may ‘own’ a maximum of 2 Thunderball numbers at any time.

Once a Thunderball draw has taken place:

The owner of the drawn Thunderball now has the opportunity to post an 8 character combination of their choice (7 numbers & 1 letter) to try and open the eSafe.

I will respond to the chosen combination by stating how many characters have been guessed correctly followed by how many of those are actually in the correct position of the combination sequence, ie “You have correctly named 3 characters, of which 1 is in the correct position of the combination sequence.”

If the chosen combination fails to open the eSafe, the drawn Thunderball now becomes available for possible new ownership.

The new owner will be the first person to correctly answer a question that I will post on the "DEAL/NO DEAL TBALL QUESTIONS" thread.

The provisional prize amount in the eSafe will change from draw to draw according to the following rules:

RULE 1.
Each time the drawn Thunderball matches one of the Main balls drawn, the provisional prize amount will INCREASE by £1.

RULE 2.
Each time consecutively drawn Thunderballs are either both odd or even, the provisional prize amount will DECREASE by £1.
However….
Each time consecutively drawn Thunderballs alternate odd/even or even/odd, the provisional prize amount will INCREASE by £1.

NOTE:
The above rules are used to determine the provisional prize amount in the eSafe that will be up for grabs in the NEXT draw, NOT the amount currently being played for.

The only exceptions to this are:

Penalties

1.The contents of the box containing the highest amount (£75) will be REDUCED by £5 if someone posts a combination when they are NOT entitled to and ALSO if they FAIL to post a combination by the required deadline when it IS their turn to do so.
(If someone knows that they won't be able to post a combination for whatever reason, I will waive the penalty ONLY if they let the other players know in advance that they are not available, and nominate another player to post a combination on their behalf.
If an alternative player is not nominated, then the next Thunderball owner in the list will have the responsibility of posting their own choice of combination & will net the prize should they succeed in cracking the combination.

2.Subsequent rule infringements will result in the contents of the box containing the SECOND highest amount being REDUCED by £5, then the THIRD highest & so on.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

ONCE THE COMBINATION HAS BEEN CRACKED.......

Basically, once the combination has been cracked, the eSafe contains 14 boxes each of which contain amounts between £0 & £75:

2 will contain £0
1 will contain £1
1 will contain £3
3 will contain £5
1 will contain £7
1 will contain £10
1 will contain £15
1 will contain £20
1 will contain £30
1 will contain £50
1 will contain £75

Your box is the one corresponding to your chosen Thunderball number.
(If you are the owner of 2 numbers/boxes, ONE of these must be kept to the end of the game. Your SECOND box may either be kept to the end or rejected during the game.)

Once you have opened the safe you will be offered the provisional prize amount as your prize.
You must decide to either "Deal" or "No Deal".
If you 'Deal', the game ends & you win the provisional prize amount, with no boxes being opened.
If you 'No Deal', you will be asked to reject 3 boxes.

These 3 will be opened revealing the 3 cash amounts that you have rejected.
At this stage you will be offered a new prize amount to 'buy' your box from you.
You must decide to either "Deal" or "No Deal".

If you "No Deal" then 3 more boxes must be rejected & opened, & you will be offered another prize amount to quit the game.
This will go on until you either accept the prize amount offered to you OR you are left with your box & one other.
By a process of elimination, the 2 remaining amounts will be known, but NOT which box they are in.

If the amounts in the boxes are different I will give you another "Deal" or "No Deal" offer to 'buy' your box from you.

If you "No Deal", then you may 'swap' your box with the other remaining box if you wish, open it, & win it's contents. Otherwise you will win the contents of your own box.

At the end of the game I will reveal to you a time & date stamped document showing when the box contents were set up & that they have not been changed during the running of the game.

Ada.
