liscence for mp3 players

where the dickens do you get a liscence?lost half of me tracks on my mp3, saying liscence needed or something.

Something to try - make a back-up CD of the tracks that won't play:thumbs and then 'Rip' that to MP3 (I find Windows Media Player does the job).

Of course, this is only legal if you own (or have purchased the rights to) the original tracks and you simply want to use them on your MP3 player :)

i got them off napster,dont know if that means i own them though?

Some versions you are not allowed to copy to other devices, blah, blah.....get an MP3 that plays anything......
