PSG v Sochaux - lay Sochaux at 7.0 for £5.00 stake to lose £30.00.

Lyon v Auxerre - lay the draw for £5.00 at 4.60 to lose £18.00.

You are just playing the bookie and taking the bet on.

no worries Paul,

Before i joined this forum I did not know how laying worked either. It is still a relativley new way of betting and a lot of my gambling mates still dont get it 100% as the concept is totally alien to them. Its not as easy as it sounds as the bookie of course has the advantage of a huge pot so he can take on many of the silly bets than us with more limited funds are not unable to do so and at vastly under priced odds too. A 33/1 shot is probably available on the exchanges at 60/1 or 70/1 so you can see how bookies make their money
