Looks like he's gravely and his cancer has caught up with him :(

I thought he was great, and Big C gave me a Pavarotti duet with Deep Purple (Nessun Dorma) not so long ago. Sounds odd, but it was actually a great version of the song.

Pancreatic cancer - only a tiny % of folk survive that, it's one of the nastiest types of cancer you can get. Very sad news. He was a true one-off star, and I loved the fact he was up for pissing off the opera snobs by doing the duets with rock and pop stars and basically going out to make the music more popular.. he'll be very much missed.
