get a glowing reccomendation from me :thumbs

got a cashback deal via 3rd party a couple of years back (warning this is risky - as the 3rd party give the cashback not O2 who i have the contract with- if the 3rd party go bankrupt then you will be stuck with an expensive contract and no cashback). fortunately i got a full cashback for the contract (£360 - 12 months @ £30) + £40 from quidco :) - so the first year was free.

reason for reccomendation:
after the first year when the contract was up i rang O2 (thinking to change the contract as PAYG) - who to my supprise offered me a £6.50 a month contract with £78 credited to my account (12X £6.50) - so basically free again, not a great ammount of talktime / text messages - but it was fine for my usage.

yesturday my 2nd year contract was up, so i phoned again - and to my supprise offered me the same deal £6.5 a month with £78 credit :D - so another free years worth of calls.

so it's worth a call at the end of your contract to see what you can get out of them. :thumbs

Agree 100% - I'm in my 3rd year now with O2 and every time it's time to renew my contract, they offer me a very good deal. One or two hiccups have occurred - In September my contract was up and they renewed me but put me on the wrong tariff, and gave me £20 extra credit for the mistake, in addition to the £100 cashback I got for not changing my handset, which more than covered the cost of calls made outside of the tariff I shouldn't have been on.

No O2 signal near me, only two signals I can get, Vodafone, which I've never had problems with, and T-Mobile who do the best Internet tariffs.

another new reccomendation to add for O2:

O2 broadband. if you have a mobile contract with O2 they will provide you with O2 broadband for £7 a month (8mb, unlimited - well fair use unlimited), it's supplied bu 'BE' who regulary come top of the broadband reccomendation charts.

i havn't switched yet, (should switch friday), so can't really comment on the service, but according to other people who have switched - it's a good service. Got a new router that arrived yesturday, and £30 odd quid from quidco aswell. :D
