1 Giants with 12.5 point start
2 Patriots by 12.5 or more

giants +12.5 for me.

though if you have overstaked, it's much better to cancle it out with a lay than let it ride.

I fancy the Patriots to overwhelm the Giants tonight.

Pretty much like last year when my Bears didn't rise to the occasion.
I know that Eli Manning is'nt anywhere near as bad as Rex Grossman,
but I reckon it could be anti-climaxical for anyone looking for a close
run game, but should be plenty of stuff to enjoy from the free playing
Pats regardless.

did £ 20 on giants plus 12.5 should i completely cancel it out or just most of it?

i cancelled it out then did £ 2 on the giants so would make a small profit as am nearly £ 9 up for the year so didnt want to risk losing £ 20 as would be very annoyed it i lost that much. put it on originally after a losing streak.

it all depends on your betting bank, and staking plan.
for me a max bet would be 5%
but a handicap bet i wouldn't stake any more than 3%. most probably less.

so a 3% bet of £20 - i would want a bank of around £600+ off the top of my head.

not sure on your knowledge of NFL, but if you are betting for the sake of it being a big event. Then i would seriously consider reducing it.

it dosn't matter what the result will be right now, (don't think i could have won £X ammount, or DAM i just spunked £20 away - after the event).
What does really matter is 'sound betting practice' which in the long run will always be the correct way of thinking.

i think you know what you should do Kered :wink

So what's your betting bank for NFL bets? How does that compare to your bank for horse racing?

Why have you gone for the Giants with a 12.5pts start? What are you basing your bet on?

Actually Kered, where have you put your bet on? Most places seem to have an 11.5 or 12 point spread rather than 12.5 so with 12.5 I really hope you got odds against (which you won't have done)

Got to agree with you Vegy, I fancy the Pats to win big tonight. I can see Eli Manning having a poor game, and Tom Brady just doesn't do anything but perform in these kind of situations

betfairAnd what price did you get? Did you shop around comparing prices and handicap lines? Is your bank big enough to support £2 bets? If not, why did you choose Betfair when the bookies will accept much smaller bets?
