I've been press-ganged into running 3 miles for Sport Relief on March 16th this year and I would appreciate if you could offer your support in the form of sponsoring me for the event.

They have kindly given me my own webpage for donations:

www.mysportrelief.com/simonlake (http://www.mysportrelief.com/simonlake)

If anyone would like to negotiate a corporate sponsorship, please leave a message on this thread. :thumbs

My full name is Simon Bruce Lake - up to about 5 years ago, I always used my middle name but after changing jobs everyone at work called me Simon and I couldn't be bothered putting them right!

But rest assured, that ugly mug belongs to me and I'll be dragging that sorry carcas across 3 miles on March 16th! :omg:

Just bringing this to the fore once again to see if any other generous members would be kind enough to sponsor my efforts.

Already donated and just been talking about it to my daughter who's been watching Sports Relief on TV and wanted to give something, so I've added a donation on her behalf. Best of luck with the run and hope you'll get lots more people donating ! :thumbs

Completed the full 3 miles (and ran all the way!!) in just under 24 minutes - a presonal best for me this year (which doesn't say much because I normally run uphill all the way).

Many thanks to everyone who sponsored me - and it isn't too late as the page will be available til the end of the month at least.

Total to date (including offline sponsorship) is around £250.
