...But obviosuly not if you're a European politician with his limited brain cell so far removed from the people they are supposed to represent. They make Vegy's turds look clever!!!

...and the ::swear :censored: who have come out and said "That is what happens when you ask the people!".....well it's the ::swear people who put you in the job, and I sure as hell will be voting for any Euro-sceptics in the future after this blatant ignorance. Suck this you Euro prats :icon_tong

It's just like the Tories were under John Major etc in the last couple of years before they were dumped by Blair... it wasn't them who had the wrong message... no... it was us who just weren't understanding what they were telling us, so they were going to keep tlling us over and over agai until we did understand that they were right.

It's continually amazing how very true Yes Minister (and Primeminister) were and nothing's changed since. Wasn't there a line: Don't ask the public who's running the country, as they're liable to say, "Not you mate" :laugh

There seems to be so much of this voting then disregard it or order a recount if it's not gone as you want it. :ermmm

There's going to be a revolution one day!

There's going to be a revolution one day!

I think most folk would be really apathetic towards that idea if they could be bothered...:wink

Its exactly this sort of reaction from the Eurocrats and spongers therein that make people vote NO in the first place!

Sooner we are out of the useless neo-Socialist organisation the better frankly....

Johnny, you don't seriously think the United Kingdom will ever leave the E.U. do you?

As for it been neo-socialist - if only!

The two biggest players in Europe -France and Germany are led by right wing leaders, we were took into the EU by a conservative government and the Treaty of Rome was signed by Thacther and Maastricht by John Major. Socialists like Tony Benn led the no campaign in the referendum on it - he was, as usual derided, as a loony. He was, as usual, right - but we cant turn back the clock now.

Politics is politics. Irelands constitution requires a referendum on the issue and so the fact is the politicians will try and work round it. I dont think you will ever see us leave the EU as becuase of the way this country has been run for 30 years, its advantages outweigh its obvious disadvantages which is why even Thatcher voted yes in the referendum on membership, why even after 11 years of grandstanding on the issue she never once hinted at pulling out and why the conservative party today have not put forward the idea of withdrawl.

I agree with you there TH. When you look back at what Tony Benn has said on numerous occasions he's turned out to be right, despite all the flak he received at the time.

I just hope that in his assertion that the disintegration of the EU will come about by war, he was wrong.

Sadly I dont think we will ever leave TH, mores the pity. But there is a distinct chance that the whole thing will fall apart one day.

As for it being socialist I probably am overcooking it but I come at this an an employer drowning in often frivolous regulation and political / social interference, where employee's rights have overtaken those of the people who actually put everything they have their houses on the line each and every day to run their own business.

Deals are done in dark rooms by largely unelected Eurocrats to ensure state run enterprises are protected from real competition and prices, especially of food, are kept artificially high to support ineffiicent and archaic industries.

Fraud is so rife that the EU's accounts have not been signed off by the official auditors for so many years now it's just a joke.

The whole thing is run by politicians for politicians and we the electorate held in utter disdain. Bit like Westminster in many ways LOL.

Sooner the whole thing implodes the better and we all go our own way.
