The Fakenham Supports Racing Welfare Handicap Chase
The Disciplinary Panel of the British Horseracing Authority held an enquiry on 23 February 2012 into the analysis of the urine and blood ordered to be taken from OH EM GEE (IRE), trained by Pat Murphy, by the Stewards at Fakenham after the gelding had finished unplaced in the Fakenham Supports Racing Welfare Handicap Chase on 21 October 2011. The Panel also considered whether or not to take action under Rule (A)74.2 of the Rules of Racing in respect of the possible disqualification of the gelding.
The samples taken from OH EM GEE (IRE) were found to contain phenylbutazone and oxyphenbutazone, which are prohibited substances. The trainer exercised his right to have the
