The Chancellor says he would be "very happy" for the government to consider publishing the personal tax returns of ministers.

It's right and proper that ministers should reveal their tax data as voters strugging to pay the bills are entitled to know if wealthy politicians aren't paying their fair share whilst lecturing the public on the need to keep to a budget.
I note this story comes from the BBC though, and while the Beeb delight in sticking the boot into evil capitalists saving on any tax payments due, they're silent on their own employees who use the same schemes to avoid tax.
And it should be remembered that the BBC staff who are pulling in six-figure salaries and using tax avoidance schemes are obtaining their wealth on the back of licence payers rather than taking the risk of living in the real world and running a business.
