OK.....here we go again......
Please checkout the GAME TABLE below or click HERE (http://www.win2win.co.uk/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=5739&d=1368920232) to see who's voted for who & your scores.
Scoring
The person finishing with the overall highest score will be declared the winner of a £10 Amazon eVoucher.
Each person will start with 100 points.
Points will be added or deducted to/from this score using the following rules:
i) If you correctly predict the final placing of any of your nominated countries:
12 points will be ADDED to your score.
ii) If any of your nominated countries finish in their respective Top 5 or Bottom 3 zones but are incorrectly placed within those zones…..
10pts will be ADDED to your score if the difference between the country’s actual placing & your predicted placing = 1
8pts will be ADDED to your score if the difference between the country’s actual placing & your predicted placing = 2
6pts will be ADDED to your score if the difference between the country’s actual placing & your predicted placing = 3
4pts will be ADDED to your score if the difference between the country’s actual placing & your predicted placing = 4
For example: If you predict that the UK will finish in 2nd place but they ACTUALLY finish in 4th place….the difference between their actual placing (4) and predicted placing (2) ……4-2 = 2, so 8 points will be added to your score.
iii) If any of your nominated countries fail to finish in their respective Top 5 or Bottom 3 zones, the difference between the country’s actual placing & your predicted placing will be DEDUCTED from your score.
For example: If you predict that the UK will finish in 4th place but they ACTUALLY finish in 21st place…. 21 – 4 = 17 points will be deducted from your score.

I cannot fault your somewhat 'twisted' optimism Vegy :laughitupsmilie:
(PS: I'll probably regret saying that later this evening, given my track record with this game )
vegyjones
18th May 2013, 20:52
At the moment, I;m kind of regretting not having Finland or Estonia in my top 5, I quite liked those 2.
I see Laf has Finland at number 5, hmm... :headbange
vegyjones
18th May 2013, 20:54
Ooh, this is nice, the old Russian one...
Happy with my number 1 choice there...
(and Graham seems to think it's a goody too) :happyboun
TheGoodGuy
18th May 2013, 21:04
I can't for the life of me remember why I picked Malta as my No.5. Big mistake methinks.
I was toying between Finland and Belgium for my No.4, and ended up picking Belgium. Probably another faux-pas on my part.
vegyjones
18th May 2013, 21:11
I wasn't a big fan of the belgium song...
Okay, Romania to finish bottom!
vegyjones
18th May 2013, 21:20
Bonnie wasn't so bad actually, maybe a top 10 finish this year might be on the cards.
TheGoodGuy
18th May 2013, 21:21
First time I've heard the UK song all the way through.
Decent enough song I suppose, and Bonnie allegedly has a big following in Europe, so who knows?
I'll stick my neck out and say...............................still no chance of a Top Ten place.

here comes the odds on favourite
ooh, apparently already a single out all over europe.
That'll help, last years winning song was |if I remember right.
TheGoodGuy
18th May 2013, 21:27
Something about that Hungary song. I don't think it'll finish in the bottom 3. :cuck
So Graham does not rate Denmark as a runaway winner...
TheGoodGuy
18th May 2013, 21:32
What's Rick Wakeman doing singing for Iceland?

You're deluded.
Okay, maybe it won't finish bottom (thanks to bloody Romania) but it's definitely a losing runner upper

So Graham does not rate Denmark as a runaway winner...
Maybe not, but if Vegy's right and it's already been released as a single across Europe, then my guess is that it'll take some beating.
vegyjones
18th May 2013, 21:37
That's a good song from Azerbaijan, glad I top fived them.
And the upside down man in the box is a very nice touch too. I like! :ooo

18th May 2013, 21:44
Ah, now I remember why I liked the Ukraine song!!
TheGoodGuy
18th May 2013, 21:53
Not heard the Ireland song, but you can currently get 5/1 on UK finishing higher than Ireland. Probably a very bad bet to take, but.......it's got to happen again ONE day.

Just realised Ireland sings last so will be fresh in the voters' minds (if it's any good)
TheGoodGuy
18th May 2013, 22:01
Ireland's bound to get the ladies' vote.
Quite liked the Georgia song as well.
TheGoodGuy
18th May 2013, 22:04
Vegy,
You can only vote for Greece a maximum of 20 times.
Won't be enough to get them into 2nd place!

Guaranteed 12 points off Cyprus annyways.
Putting Sweden 2nd could cost me. I actually like the song but if the odds are anything to go by it hasn't got a chance. Not sure of my bottom 3 either, I'd like to have Romania in there now I think.

I think nobody having Roomania in the bottom 3 is indicitive that we all chose without listening to any of the songs first! :laugh

Does anyone vote for the 'Eurovision' factor anymore. Probably not, but maybe, just maybe Romania may be kept out of the bottom 3 purely for its 'novelty' factor.
OK Vegy, you don't need to say it again.......I'll say it myself......"I'm deluded"
TheGoodGuy
18th May 2013, 22:28

:peeky
That's what being the current Win2Win Eurovision champion does to you.
You should have seen the state of Iron Chris after winning 5 times on the trot!!

Denmark a little way down the leaderboard as well. :yikes:
TheGoodGuy
18th May 2013, 22:44
Mmmmm......Belgium & Malta doing 'OK' after 4 votes!!
vegyjones
18th May 2013, 22:45
Greece back on top, thanks to us! :laugh

12 for the Danes.

18th May 2013, 22:49

TheGoodGuy
18th May 2013, 22:59
And there we were 'debating' whether Romania & Hungary would be in the bottom 3, when all the time it was pretty obvious that UK & Ireland would be firmly fixed there!!
TheGoodGuy
18th May 2013, 23:00
COME ON Malta!!!!!
Chris must be favourite at this stage. He doesn't look to be too far away with any of his picks.

You're looking good for the top 2 spots at the moment Ada.
Obviously running this competition very year is having an effect. It's a negative effect but an effect all the same

I really thought the Ireland song was better than this.
Welcome to the UK world Ireland.
Says a lot for Jedward, doesn't it!
vegyjones
18th May 2013, 23:15
Why is it both hosts of Eurovision, despite being Irish, refer to Ireland as 'them' or 'they'?

Well done to all who played, and as ever, much gratitude to Ada for the sterline effort and dedication in runnning this game. Made the night very enjoyable. Tanks for taking the time to listen to my eurovision ramblings throughout tonight also.
But well done to Scooby on regaining his eurovision crown. :icon_sorry:
Iron Chris will be so disappointed to have lost out by such short margins I'm sure :laugh
But it has to be said, Laf obviously took no chances in ensuring his blushes were spared this time round
Fantiastic stuff as always. :thumbs
A pretty dismal display from me. I really did try this year, I promise!
Well done Scooby and also Chris for another good effort. :clp
Thanks to Ada for running the game again and to Vegy for your in play 'ramblings'!

Well done Scoobs.......even though you may not feel so 'jubilant' at having the Win2Win Eurovision crown plonked firmly on your head for a second time.!!

Hi guys....
A very close game this year especially for the Top 2.
Much improved position for me this year (3rd!!). Roll on next year!
Same players as last year but once again many thanks to you die-hards (you know who you are) who have yet again supported this game for the 8th consecutive year.
I really do appreciate your continued support and here's hoping we can do it all again next year.
Many congratulations Scoobydoo....I'm not sure whether you are going to be dancing in the street after snatching Laf's Eurovision crown back (but I bet HE will be, maybe for different reasons!)....but along with now having the ever dubious title of Win2Win Eurovision 2013 Champion (for a SECOND time)..... I'm afraid this forces you to come back next year to either successfully defend or maybe relinquish your title.
Scoobs, I have an Email address for you that has been successfully used in the JE Competition, but please could you confirm that address (by PM) or PM me an alternative Email address if necessary so that I can send you your winning £10 Amazon Voucher.
Thanks again Ada for the game. Look forward to next year.
