    XDA ?? Help !

I'm looking to purchase one of these PDA/XDA gadgets, however am uncertain what I'm looking for.

Been looking at a Dell Axim X3 Wireless PDA @ £279

Is this the type of thing required?

If so, could someone please explain what the 'wireless' statement actually means. What do I need to connect through? How do I connect etc.

    All help greatly appreciated.

    Mark.

I understand XDA to mean those O2 mobile phone, hand pc thingies. When I said XDA in PC World they looked at me like I was making it up lol.

It'll have to be an XDA if you want to use Betdaq, as this is the only platform I'm aware of at the moment, but I do know others are in the pipeline, along with Betfair.

Probably between £15-£50 depending on how much you do on it, and what you do. Exchanges don't transfer that much data once loaded, but if it's on for all the racing it can mount up on GPRS.

Thank you Keith, I’ll watch out for developments in the XDA market re Betfair. It will give me some thing to spend my profits from the Pro Losers on.

there's a few ways to do it just save whatever files you want to transfer onto floppy and put the floppy in the new one
    proberbly the easiest way
or you could just use e-mail send one to yourself

You can just dump everything on the PC, and then dunp it back again.

That reminds, me, must check if the new Windows version is available for the first model. All updates are on www.02.co.uk somewhere!!

If you look on the Betdaq home page you will see a yellow "Mobile BETDAQ" button that has some good news on the availability on mobile internet!
