    Cheltenham 2005.

    When its dark before tea,
and as cold as can be.
    and the summer is lost,
And the sun to Jack frost.

When its Fontwell, Taunton, Carlisle or Perth,
We know its the pointer to the greatest on earth,
The fences, the hurdles, the fallers, the jumpers,
Its 2 miles and 3 miles, lest not forget bumpers.

The Cotswolds are calling, and waiting in vain,
For all of the greatness that will grace its fine plain,
For champions, for upstarts and pretenders alike,
For trainers, for jockeys for punters who gripe.

Keep watching and looking and studying form,
And wait until March when a champoion is born.
When theres a horse that you fancy, which is stuck in your head,
Dont keep it alone, please add to this thread......

    ..................................................................................

All roads lead to Cheltenham, use this for tips, thoughts, trainer comments etc, etc, etc......

    Good luck,
    Merl.

Sitting in doors waiting for Cheltenham,
banging your head aginst a wall

Then finally it's here, the race has finished,
but my horse is still in it's starting stall!

Ah ..... that's bloody great Merlin. Well done.

I'm trying to think of an air (a song) I could marry the words to, and sing it down the pub on the eve of Cheltenham next March.

    CHELTENHAM ARB OPPORTUNITIES.........
    ..........................................................

GOLD CUP - BEEF OR SALMON looks a good candidate for an arb @ 13.00 currently....
QUEEN MOTHER - KICKING KING @ 25.00....is sure to shorten.....
CHAMPION HURDLE - SOLERINA @ 34.00....again sure to shorten I feel.....

All the above are currently available on Betfair.....I am not suggesting that they will win their respective races - but I do feel they offer the opportunity of at least a free bet over the coming months....

    Good luck,
    Merl.
