Not to worry. From tomorrow the subject is Film. So expect no more dodgy football and rugby questions.

Instead you're likely to be asked about movie taglines, horror films, westerns, comedies, kids films, gangster movies, Oscar winners, and name the year. Can't promise you won't get Star Trek questions though as Sc-Fi films are still included.

Not sure what the mechanics are, but is it possible to have a different single subject each day? That way everyone has the same split.

    Just a thought.

    Enjoying it though :D:D

Judging by the difficulty of those film questions, my 5 correct could well gain some decent points today

Memo to Plater, wake up before you do the quiz in the mornings, knew the answers to six of them but clicked on another answer

The minute you start talking about what you're going to do if you lose, you have lost.

Yeah Glos I think you'l have to sort out the questions here....it's getting to the point where we're all being rewarded for how well we can guess.....Look back at the settings....Did you tick the obscure box??? It's a good laugh though, fair play to ya....just a little less surreal and we could be doing well...

I knew 1/10 today and guessed the rest. I finished with 4/10.

For most of the ones I guessed I had neither heard of the film, the star or recognised the quote.

    Today was tough!

Same here Sam but you can probably add a nought to the recommendations. Ooo
Not played yet today, absolutely bricking it now.

    Just a reminder

    1. You don't get points for how quickly you can guess. Remember that each correct answer gives you 100 points (or just over 1 1/2 minutes extra time to answer the next question) so it pays to take your time.

    2. Yes, it's possible to select a different category each day but then the questions will still be generated randomly. So you might end up with really tough questions on that one day while someone else will get all the easy ones. Instead, I think it's fairer to select a general theme from which to pluck the questions. Plus it means I don't have to be around to change it on a daily basis.

    3. It's all meant to be a bit of fun (even if Sparky seems to be taking it seriously). If it was too easy it wouldn't be challenging :D

    4. The next category will be music so that is likely to even things up a bit. That will be followed by general trivia for a few days.

In the meantime, congratulations to Sparky for winning yesterday. Still under halfway and he's beginning to establish a lead. But he's not out of sight just yet as both Mathare and Presto are doggedly pursuing him. Meanwhile the winless Vegy has leapt into 4th place.

Is anyone Googling these? C'mon, own up.

I know it's allowed but I haven't (yet?) and looking at the effect that the time taken has on the points awarded there doesn't seem to be any point.

Great idea Glos. Stop taking it so damned seriously Sparky :D
